Three wagon multi-pack

Containing three wagons, numbered:

  • B313052
  • B313179
  • B313873
  • Bauxite, TOPS livery
  • Converted from 1/119 and 1/120 diagrams at Perth between 1985 and 1987
  • Used for scrap metal traffic in Scotland and North East England
  • 192 wagons converted to MDWs
  • Air Pipes fitted for use in Speedlink trains, otherwise identical to ‘standard’ MDVs
  • MDWs remained in service until 1992
  • Four ran as ZDV/ZYVs in Departmental traffic, the last being withdrawn in 1999

Common features:

  • Pack of three wagons, each with individual numbers
  • NEM standard coupler pockets
  • Narrow tension lock couplers included
  • Extra fine factory-fitted detail plastic parts and sprung buffers
  • Individual lettering and codes from real wagons for authenticity

Excellent model gets even better

Very impressed with the two different packs of these , which I have put together with wagons purchased from the original batches. A twelve wagon rake is very impressive and benefits from close coupling. Surprisingly good close coupled on fairly tight curves with no buffer lock issues

I do like the random chalk scrawl written on one of these wagons and somehow tampo printed. Looks very realistic

This is the second set of these MDW models I've had from Accurascale. Great wagons, good value, nice paint finish and run well. Very happy with them. Keep up the good work, guys!
