Class 50 might just be my favourite Accurascale release...it's been a while coming but most certainly worth the wait. The intricate details really give the loco the look of the real thing.
The roof detail is fantastic and the sound files really have the depth of bass to match the prototype. Absolutely superb all round.
Very pleased with the performance of this loco especially around corners when the flange squeal applies automatically.
Trips to Didcot were a treat and I used to sit on the bank and watch the locos slowly pull a rake of HAAs through the unloading building. Previous HAAs were never quite right for me, but this new generation captures the workman like bulk of the real thing.
Pairs of 20s or a 58 at the head of a full rake of these makes me smile and remember the now long-gone workings.
For me the monotony of BR Blue is perfect - it takes me back to my childhood when that was pretty much all there was. Where was, however, variety in stock with pre-grouping, Mk 1, Mk2 and Mk 3 coaches all to be found.
These Mk 1 suburban coaches from Accurascale are well detailed and as a rake behind a Class 31 take me back to that previous era perfectly.
I will buy more when run 2 is announced, of that I am sure.
A few parts had become detached in the box. Soon replaced. But overall a superb model in large logo blue. Runs beautifully.
just as loud as a real class 50! never mind the icing on the cake, this sound decoder is like having another cake. and i like cake.
They look great and will build into an attractive rake
Another great loco from Accurascale. It will look even better with the painted jumper cables.
Runs great out the box and is a credit to my loco fleet.
2 years waiting and well worth it when they arrived. Without doubt the best class 50 made in 00 guage to date. The finish and the detail is superb. I also purchased Warspite and Defiance I have lined them up altogether what an amazing look. Untested as I don't have a layout but they sound great on u tube. Really pleased with them. The attention to detail is massive. They built this from scratch... yes they did! Just a tiny moan about some loose bits but I will sort myself or contact TMC. Cause may have been the black foam block - really tight left mine out of the boxes. Otherwise another set of successful models - Already ordered more on run 2.
Another great model for the collection…. What will Accurascale spend my wages on next?!!
This is the second class 50 I’ve purchased from you and wow! What amazing models they are.
So glad I was able to pick one of these models up when the remaining stock was put up for sale, first class model and ordered one from batch 2.
A beautiful locomotive in a very attractive livery, runs perfectly. Only let down by the known issue of the orange jumper cable boxes at either end of the locomotive. One of mine had already come loose on transit, the other came away as soon as the ice box was opened!
