La CIÉ s'est lancée dans un programme de renouvellement du matériel roulant dès le début des années 1950, axé sur la construction brevetée du châssis triangulaire de Bulleid. Parmi les types de wagons les plus distinctifs apparus figurait une série de wagons-trémies à céréales en vrac, développés à partir du modèle H Van. Ces véhicules, d'une capacité de 12 tonnes, venaient compléter une flotte de wagons-trémies antérieurs, construits par la Great Southern Railways (GSR) dans les années 1930 et restés en service jusqu'à la fin du trafic céréalier, au milieu des années 1970.

well detailed wagons and very smooth free running,make sure your sidings are level or the wagons will roll away. what we need is some guards vans.
