Le programme de production de matériel roulant entrepris par Oliver Bulleid alors qu'il était ingénieur mécanicien en chef chez Corás Iompair Éireann (CIÉ) dans les années 1950 comprenait plusieurs véhicules désormais emblématiques, parmi lesquels le modeste H Van. Avec un empattement de 3 mètres et une capacité de 12 tonnes, ces fourgons sans prétention sont devenus le wagon couvert standard de CIÉ et ont trouvé leur place sur tout le réseau ferroviaire irlandais pendant leur service, présents en longues rames ou en trains mixtes dans de grands dépôts, en groupes plus petits ou isolés dans les voies d'évitement et les hangars à marchandises sur toute l'île.

Adjusting brake shoes

It is a very fine detailed model and you have allowed for movement of wheels
to fit 21 mm Irish scale track.
One drawback is you have not made the same provision for the brake shoes
which should be modelled closer to the axle boxes.
It means that I have to uses my skill to move same.

Great wagon and detail but I think the roof should have been a very dark grey , roof colors varied on them there was so many of them. Some roofs would have been black too. Well done on this iconic wagon.

Usual high standard

A very well packed item. The van has the usual high standard of detail especially in below. It's well weighted and runs really smoothly on the track. Another excellent product.

Accurascale never cease to amaze me with their products. Here, we have finely crafted CIE Box Vans from Accurascale's IRM group. As always, the products in this three pack are nicely recreated in 00 scale. The printing, fine details, and overall design work on them are exquisite. Some of these mixed together would make an interesting rake within a UK layout, never mind an Irish one to roll on.
