Seen as very much the ‘missing link’ in the ‘Powering Britain’ range, the 16 ton mineral wagon is an essential addition to the Accurascale range to tell the story of coal traffic on the railways throughout the 20th century. The archetypal BR 16 ton all-steel non-hoppered mineral wagon proliferated across the United Kingdom’s railway network during the 1950s and 1960s and there was probably not a siding, freight yard or industrial railway system in the country that did not house at least an example or three of these vitally important, yet mundane railway vehicles.

Excellent !

I confess I’ve bought a number of these wagons and they all look great! The attention to detail in their production is fabulous and I commend Accurascale for bringing accuracy and detail to railway models that we’ve rarely seen before. Great stuff Accurascale!!!!

Grey Minerals

These do weather up really well and you can soon make up a rake with packs coming in 3s. A nice weight to the wagon and have no problems with derailing so far. Detail and price are very good

BR 16 Tonner Coal Wagon

I only ordered these when they arrived in stock as I read about them on a link on fb luckily I managed to obtain the ones I wanted quickly as they were in high demand. In the 70s I had a couple of these made by Hornby and I loved them to bits. Wow have things have changed - The most noticeable feature of these wagons is the vast choice and high detail. These are the best mineral wagons I have ever seen in 4mm. Don't wait around get some they're superb!

BR 16 ton wagons

I have bought these to replace mainline wagons which were acquired in the 1980’s , an upgrade which was well overdue.

Great wagons and a good spread of variants. I got 2 contracting sets of 3. Really great way of doing things. Gone are the days of 1 wagon 6 times on your layout. Thanks Accurascale, another great way to bring the hobby forwards.
