Programmet för produktion av rullande materiel som Oliver Bulleid genomförde under hans tid som maskinchef på Corás Iompair Éireann (CIÉ) på 1950-talet innehöll ett antal numera ikoniska fordon, bland dem var den ödmjuka H Van. Med en axelavstånd på 10 fot och en kapacitet på 12 ton blev dessa anspråkslösa skåpbilar CIÉ:s täckta standardvagn och de hittade vägen till varje punkt på det irländska järnvägsnätet under sin tid i trafik, närvarande i långa räfflor eller blandade tåg på större gårdar och i mindre grupper eller ensamma i sidospår och godsskjul tvärs över ön.

I love the older CIE rolling stock. I remember these in Ballymote when I was growing up. In my opinion these models are well made accurately detailed and are a good weight.

Good customer service

I ordered 2 packs but only got one. I messaged support and got a reply right away to say they would be in contact. Sure enough next morning I got a message about info they needed to check about the missing box. I send the info a got a message back shortly after to say it was their mistake and the box was being sent. I got it 2 days later. Excellent service and a very nice model.

Accurascale never cease to amaze me with their products. Here, we have finely crafted CIE Box Vans from Accurascale's IRM group. As always, the products in this three pack are nicely recreated in 00 scale. The printing, fine details, and overall design work on them are exquisite. Some of these mixed together would make an interesting rake within a UK layout, never mind an Irish one to roll on.
