31301 Railfreight Red-Stripe
Utvecklad från det stora logotypschemat, när den ursprungliga Railfreight grå färgen lanserades på 58001 i december 1982 lyftes den genom tillägget av en röd buffertbalk och sulor. Men när lackeringen först rullades ut på Class 31s när de lämnade Doncaster efter Heavy General Overhaul från mars 1985 bars bara de röda buffertbalkarna över, det röda underkroppsbandet introducerades inte förrän i januari 1987 på 31188. Under de kommande 13 månaderna, "renoverades" 36 andra maskiner i samma maskiner "Planterades" med samma maskiner. Bescots 31301 kom in i trafiken igen efter sin makeover i juni 1987. Denna hade varit ny som D5834 till 41A Tinsley i mars 1962 men tillbringade större delen av 1980-talets jojo mellan östra och Londons Midland. När lokomotivflottorna delades upp i sektoriserade pooler under andra halvan av det decenniet allokerades 31301 initialt till avdelningsarbete, senare gick med i Stratford FAGS samlade pool, innan de återgick till infrastrukturarbete i början av 1990-talet. Detta blev begränsat till helgarbete från 1992 tillsammans med flera perioder av butik och cirka tre år senare fungerade det för sista gången. En potentiell uppskov kom i september 1999 när den såldes till Fragonset med avsikten att återställa den till trafik. Tyvärr ägde detta aldrig rum och efter att ha hängt på i över ett decennium mötte det sitt öde på CF Booth, Rotherham, i februari 2011.
