BR Mk1 57' icke-Gangway Coach - S - E46203

So impressed by this coach. The attention to detail is fantastic. Unfortunately I am old enough to remember travelling on these coaches !

Gangway... I'm coming through... Not!

A lovely example of a non lavatory fitted Standard Class coach. Pity the poor passenger who boarded this non lavatory equipped coach in a hurry... must have been awkward in the day.
Once again Accurascale have delivered a well received coach for the masses. The detail is superb both above and below the frames. Keep up the good work team.

I ordered seven of these coaches E46203, E46101, E43043, E48006, E43138, E46147, and E46165 as expected they all arrived very well packed all in very sturdy boxes, once I unpack them and any of my Accurascale loco’s they never go back in the boxes as I always purchase laser cut storage draws line with foam which keeps them safe and easy to access, which in turn keep the original packaging in pristine condition. The coaches look very good to my eye the colour is perfect and the detailing is superb inside and out, the first thing I did was to swap the coupling to the shorter version that you can purchase from Accurascale Although I had to put the larger coupling back on the last coach as the buffers over lapped on the bends but that was not a problem, I could have took the springs out of the buffers but decided to keep them in. The light works very well I have noticed some people think they are too bright but I like the fact that I can see the lights are on when they are on my garden track in daylight. The next thing that I am in the process of doing is adding passengers roughly 50 to each coach which takes about an hour or so, as with all my locos and coaches they must have crew and passengers, I feel it spoils it somewhat when train run round a track empty of life, it makes such a difference to see a coach full of people. On the track they run very smooth and and look very realistic, I think I will be saving up to make it a ten rake train, very good purchase.

I bought this coach to compliment the class 31 loco and it comes with pack of details and runs smoothly. Can't wait to add passengers to make it more realistic. Well done Accurascale

I was very impressed with the BR Mk1 57' Non-Gangway Coaches. I had ordered six of them and was not disappointed when I unboxed them....until it became apparent there were some issues with the way they had been assembled. A plastic part had come adrift from one of the coaches. There was also an issue with the fitment of the wheel sets into the bogies, with approx. six not being seated correctly in the axel boxes. None of these problems were a big issue and were easily fixed. However, it does mean this ends up being a four star review. It would have been nice to see magnetic couplers included with the model, as has been the case with the Syphon G and Mk2b coaches. Other than those issues, I am very impressed with the BR Mk1 57' Non-Gangway Coaches. Thank you for another impressive model.
