When I first saw that Accurascale were going to release 60007, it was a must-have loco. Many years ago, I owned the old Hornby model but reluctantly sold it. Whilst the Hornby model still stands up well today, this is in a completely different league.
The lighting and sound functionality is superb, and as for the weight, well, I doubt haulage capacity is going to ever be a concern. This would give the O gauge equivalent a run for its money!
I can see more of these 60s making their way to the layout, if and when funds allow. I also have 60031 in the fleet. Highly recommended!
What a lovely loco. I have particular memories of this one, which is why I went for it. Missed the fifth star because it took an awful lot of cleaning to get it to run - way over lubricated. Pity as one of the big points to buying a loco like this is you should just have to program the address and then it would run
Can't comment as it was a gift for a friend but looked good.
These are without doubt the best class 66 model by far amazing delivery by dpd faultless
Despite the fact I thought I'd bought the bundle that include the crew, I have no complaints. The sound is great & installation pretty straightforward. Happy customer 😄
I’ve got several of the Accura class 37, because they are just brilliant, the look, the performance. I’d give 10 stars if I could.
Beautiful model worth the wait , but I did comment on the sample models the cantilever cab wipers should have been etch brass fitting ?, especially at the price of the loco? You paid so much attention to detail in every other department that a fitting which is so noticeable was scrimped on ? But generally of the only two locos you have launched for IRISH RAILWAY MODELS, they are fantastic diesels dare I say a c class ?, or a lovely little g class, or E class ?, we can only hope !!
Fantastic looking locos, the sound is my personal favourite so far. A brilliant job well done, thanks lads.👍
All the models of the Park Royal carriages are seemingly accurate.
The respective liveries authentic.
The models themselves miniatures of the actual vehicles.
You have captured the significant width of these vehicles and the accurate CIE Commonwealth bogies
My only reservation is that I am unable to step from the platform at Sydney Parade, open the carriage door and sit down!
Un superbe modèle comme toutes les Class 37 de chez Accurascale.
**This model is simply stunning**, i have not run it yet but the fine detail i could never replicate on my Silver Fox resin model.
Another awesome model from the Accurascale stable. If you like your Class 37s and haven’t got an Accurascale version in your loco roster, you’re missing out!
The Class 31 is another excellent release from Accurascale and, unlike some of their smaller sound-fitted tank engines, this larger diesel really shows what they can achieve. The Network Rail yellow livery is beautifully applied, with crisp printing and plenty of finely applied detail throughout.
Running performance is superb. It is smooth, quiet and has excellent slow-speed control, while the pickups inspire confidence even over complex pointwork. The factory-fitted sound is also very good, producing a rich and powerful English Electric soundtrack with plenty of depth and realistic effects that suit the locomotive perfectly.
The level of detail is exceptional without compromising reliability, and the lighting functions add even more realism. This is a locomotive that looks every bit as good as it performs.
I now own over 55 Accurascale locomotives, and their larger diesel locomotives such as this Class 31 demonstrate just how good the company can be. The quality of assembly, running characteristics and sound are all in a different league compared with some of the sound-fitted tank engines in my collection.
Overall, this is an excellent model and one I would happily recommend to anyone modelling the modern railway scene.
This is a lovely little tank engine with plenty of charm and character. The SECR green livery suits it perfectly, and the unlined finish gives it a simple, workmanlike appearance that is very authentic for the period. Despite its small size, the detailing is crisp throughout, with plenty to admire close up.
Running performance is excellent, with smooth, steady operation at both low and higher speeds, making it ideal for shunting or branch line duties. It has a surprising amount of presence on the layout and captures the character of these locomotives extremely well.
Overall, this is another excellent model that combines great looks with reliable running. Whether you're modelling the SECR or simply enjoy pre-grouping locomotives, it's a very worthwhile addition to the fleet. Highly recommended.
Brilliant loco crew which can be used in many other models as well as the specific loco,
The detail on the model is absolutely fantastic. Combine that with the sound card and you have an amazing model.
