Separately applied etched metal and high fidelity plastic detail parts, including grab handles, aerials, steps, wipers, nameplates, crests and more.

Etched metal door kickplates (where applicable), ‘frost’ grille (where applicable) & super fine etched metal roof grille

Scale width wire handrails

Turned brass roof-mounted horns on centre headcode examples

Full underbody tank detail with brackets and pipework

Bogies feature separate footsteps, etched footsteps, brake cylinders, speed recorder, end brake rigging and very fine brake chain

Brake blocks on trucks (bogies) in line with wheels (can be moved for EM/P4 gauges)

Numerous other locomotive-specific details yet to be revealed!

RP25-110 profile OO gauge wheels with fine scale ‘drop in’ EM (18.2mm gauge) and P4 (18.83mm gauge) wheels available separately

Accurate high-fidelity miniature snowploughs

Fully sprung metal buffers, extra-fine factory-installed pipework and screw couplings

Correct height mini-tension-lock couplers with NEM socket as well as a fully detailed bufferbeam

Every model includes PowerPack / Backup Power Capacitor Bank for up to ten seconds of power free running, flicker free lighting and continuous sound

  • High Performance traction, to include;
  • High-quality five-pole motor with two flywheels
  • Metal Helical Gear box for maximum performance and slow speed running
  • Gearing arranged so locomotive can achieve a scale top speed of 100 mph (160 km/h)

Colas Cracker

I’ve got this to top and tail a test train and it captures the 37 very nicely. Hopefully it will appear in its blue livery and Transrail branding in the future.

This was the first class 37 I have bought new and I am very pleased with it and the sound is fantastic, now I am Waiting for my class 60. well worth a 5 star.

40 Year old favorite

40 years ago in my teens this was my favourite loco, so much so that I bought 2 of them from my precious pocket-money.

Coming back to the hobby 35 years later I went seeking the Class 40. Others on the market were,….. good to alright, but then this beauty landed on my doorstep and, just WOW!

Accurascale hasn’t disappointed me. Not only have they given me an incredible model, but also brought back wonderful memories of my teenage years.

I'll be looking to see what I can get in the next run.

Excellent model

Very pleased with the detail, the running quality and the sound. The only downside is I found the buffer beam details - brake hoses and MU cables nigh on impossible to fit - the holes and lugs are too small and difficult to locate, also they are not a simple push fit but need superglue to secure in place.

Another fine model

Yet again Accurascale have produced an industry standard beating model. The best model in all respects that is available, so why buy from another manufacturer, these are without doubt the most accurate and cost effective class 37 models available.

Coming from a relatively novice,I have several 37s ( none from accurascale ) this model in my humble opinion is a excellent model the build quality the level of detail ,the sound file are all excellent and I personally would recommend highly to my fellow modellers

Does it get any better? Can it get any better? This is one beautiful looking locomotive and it sounds every bit as good as it looks.
