Another excellent model from Accurascale, with working fan, cab lights and excellent sound. The model is well weighted and great detailing. These models like the rest of there locos are hard to beat on quality and detailing!

To be honest, I will not be comparing this loco to another manufacturers loco’s, or scaled drawings of the original, I will leave that to the rivet counters!

- A great runner straight out of the box.
- Weight, haven’t tried to pull an unreasonable amount of stock, however, it pull a prototypical rake with no issues.
- Colour looks great, although a little shadow of the blue under the yellow on the wrap around areas of the noses. Hardy noticeable, but there.
- Details are crisp and clearly legible.
- The sound was a little quiet, although plenty of function's
- Variable fan speed depending on power, excellent addition to this loco.

So overall, I would definitely consider this loco, if you are looking for a Class 31,

A very fine detailed model, so good that I managed to buy 5 out of the six BR blue class 31s you produced. 31 409, thee only one I have missed out on.

Just like the rest of Accurascale stable all worth every hard earned penny a beautiful model and can’t wait for the rest it’s so refreshing to see run and the sound wow

Overall excellent. Looks just right and the grilles are superb which is essential on a Class 31, something which I found disappointing on the Class 37. Sounds good too, although I was expecting it to be a little louder. Lighting really good, cab superb. Overall a really great looking and enjoyable model.

I knew this locomotive was going to be good but it is exceptional. The detail, paint finish, working roof fan etc are superb, it comes alive with the most realistic sound I have heard in a model locomotive. The cold start is brilliant and I love it.

Stunning model, looks spot on. Running very smooth and quiet straight from the box. With sound the model comes alive. Decoration is superb, so good to have blue pre tops locos.

We can be said about this model. It’s a 31 through and through. Cant wait to weather it up and add it to the roster.

I'm struggling to think of anything new to add to the superlatives already published about the Accurascale 31s - simply superb. My only niggle is the headcode lighting on the earlier versions such as this one which only have the outer digits lit. Hopefully there will be a work around to sort this before long

This locomotive is a must for any pre-TOPS era modeler. Superb detail for a fair price that has become the hallmark of Accurascale.
