I was late to the party for the first round of Panniers, but I was successful in ordering a member of each of the 8750 and 5700 classes when more models were released to the wild on the website. They are absolutely superb in their operation and detail, and I love how many extra bits are included in the parts poly bag. I've ordered another pair from the second batch to fill out my roster. You can't go wrong with these locos.
Superb detailing, crisp paintwork, overall a brilliant model. Can’t wait for future variants
My first rake of Accurascale wagons, these are excellent and crying out for 2 x 37’s
This Accurathrash 8 Ohm DCC sound speaker is a fantastic upgrade, especially for larger diesel locomotives.
I fitted one to my Accurascale Class 60, which I originally bought DCC ready before adding the decoder and speaker. The result is excellent, with a much fuller and more powerful sound than you get from smaller standard speakers.
Like the newer Hornby enhanced bass speaker, this really helps bring out the depth and presence you want from a big diesel loco. It makes the model feel far more convincing when running with sound.
A superb upgrade and one I would definitely recommend. Five stars.
These GWR 57xx, 67xx and 8750 Pannier crew figures are excellent. I have bought a number of them because they work so well not only with the Accurascale Pannier tanks, but also with suitable Hornby GWR and BR steam locomotives in my collection.
The detail is very sharp, and the full-colour finish looks far better than many standard crew figures. In my experience, they look much more natural in the cab than the Bachmann equivalents, which can sometimes look oversized or awkward.
They are not cheap for two small figures, but the quality is clear. They add real character to the locomotive and are a superb finishing touch. For me, these fully deserve five stars.
I really like these Hunslet Austerity LNER/BR crew figures. The painted finish and fine detail make them look much sharper and more realistic than many standard crew figures.
They are designed for the Accurascale Hunslet Austerity, but I have bought several sets to use not only with my Accurascale models, but also with suitable Hornby LNER and BR steam locomotives in my collection where they fit and look right.
Compared with some Bachmann crew figures I have tried, these look much better in the cab. I have found some Bachmann figures can look oversized or awkward in certain locomotives, so I no longer tend to use them. These Accurascale figures look far more natural and add real character without looking toy-like.
They are not cheap for two small crew members, but the quality is excellent. I am really pleased Accurascale have produced them, as they give me a much better option for suitable LNER and BR steam locomotives. For me, they are a superb finishing touch and fully deserve five stars.
I collected the full range of Accurascale Class 31s from the second run, and these Early BR Driver and Secondman figures work exceptionally well with them.
The reason I really like these is that they fit so well inside the Class 31 cab. When the cab is lit up, or when using the functions on the DCC sound-fitted versions, the figures look like they belong there and really help bring the model to life.
The poses, proportions and detail are excellent, and being full-colour 3D printed means there is no painting required.
They are not the cheapest accessory for two small crew figures, but the quality is clear and they suit the Class 31 perfectly. A very worthwhile finishing touch.
These Accurascale Hunslet Austerity Industrial crew figures are very nicely done. The detail, proportions and poses look excellent, and they should add a lot of character to the cab once fitted.
They are full-colour 3D printed, so no painting is required, which is a real advantage. They also avoid the bulky or toy-like look that some crew figures can have.
At £12.95 for just two crew members, they are not cheap, but the quality is clearly there.
Room for Improvement?.You have to be joking .Absolutely delighted with these. You could consider bunging in a few passengers as there is plenty of room for them.I look forward to the Mainline versions and a Dutch vanbrake seconds, composites and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Excellent model. Finely detailed with care at the design stage to ensure accurate to the prototype in it's preserved condition. Livery seems to be for current status from, it seems, 2019 with red backed number plates. No issue with DCC sound functions & firebox flicker. As a preserved loco will need minimal weathering with perhaps a polished finish. Arguably definitive.
the NIR Eagle is a stunning model the level of detail and finish is just stunning, and runs as well as it looks. Iam so pleased with it that I have ordered another one no 102 this time. Thank you so much ,wonderful models.
Another awesome Class 37/4 release from Accurascale, this time with Welsh dragon embellishments and white tyres. A stunning look
Another excellent class 37 from Accurascale with the usual amazing detail. Keep them coming.
Beautiful detail. Truly museum quality. Amazing what Accurascale / IRM have achieved.
I thought I'd missed out on this Exclusive, but a tip-off from Hylton @ Proper Chuffed guided me back to the website and I quickly ordered it whilst away on holiday in Crete!
And I'm so glad I did. It's a stunning-looking machine, with a distinctive sound file and lighting suite. I've only run it in, but am really looking forward to spending a couple of hours playing trains with it as soon as the weather reverts back to something more normal for the UK.
Northern Ireland Railway modellers have been amply rewarded with this series of superb model locomotives
