The locomotive is finished in early 1960s condition as allocated to 30A Stratford and during its glory days of passenger service on the Great Eastern main line and in charge of such iconic workings as the Liverpool-Harwich boat trains. As an extra special treat and recognising this loco's historic position as the first of the class to be named, we're including etched 'First East Anglian Regiment' nameplates that it carried for several months in mid-1963 before being removed. The plates will not be printed on the locomotive but are provided as optional accessories.

You can never have too many class 37s

No one builds them quite like Accurascale do, even if they are just models of the real items. The company really put the detail into making their models so unique. With the adage of incorporating the finest of details and printing to them. The extra work pays dividends to the 00 scale models that only Hornby can dream about for their pricer models. With these Class 37s with fine bogie chains, lit cab display consoles, etc. You can then understand why they have come tops of the readers' polls in the modelling press award over the last 3-4 years running. The Deltic releases set the margins, and the 92s added some flair. While the 37s pushed the boundaries, and the Manors exceeded what can be done for the steam era. Great stock deserves the greatest of accolades for miniature marvels, Accurascale is producing for the British Railway market.

    A few problems

One of the chains is too short so only large radius curves can be used without derailing. One of the sand pipes is hanging too low & hits point blades.

Not yet fitted a decoder yet.

Fantastic detail let down by the above problems

    D6703 - non sound version

The loco is great but the documentation for a non sound version is appalling. There are no clear details for parameter settings to get the lights working easily if you install your own 21 pin decoder. Even the recommended ESU decoder has its problems. It needs specific parameter settings and there is no documentation to tell you what they should be. I would have bought a sound fitted version had it been available.

Certainly packs a punch….in BR Green

Another beautiful model added to the ever growing fleet of Accurascale 37s. It’s perfect and runs faultlessly around the layout straight (Stockbridge_station on instagram) out the box. Really looking forward to the others once released

    Another smashing model

This is my umpteenth Accurascale 37 and it’s another smashing model. Nice to see that on the latest releases, the hinges on the roof hatches are flush with the roof. It arrived with a loose drivers seat and some of the magnets that hold the roof panel in place hadn’t been glued in sufficiently, but nothing that couldn’t be easily fixed.
