Dailuaine

A beautiful little model. Althoughnot numbered or otherwise identified, it looks very much like the Pug the operated at the Dailuaine whisky distillery in Speyside. It will fit perfectly into a little cameo I am building around this location (GNoSR)

Expecting More

On arrival I had to re-seat the motor, I understand that this is a common issue and was a know one at that. Taking the Shell off is a challenge, not as easy as it is mentioned in the Instructions. The motor is a 5 pole but very inadequate to provide the torque that is needed for this little one. After breaking in and fiddling with things to get a decent runner out of the Model I can for certainty say if I had know I would have passed on the Barclay and went with another brand and Model altogether. I am aware that this is solely a Hatton's model and nothing other than Name was changed on this run so Accurascale doesn't really have any blame. I hope that Maybe next run will be much improved but until then I will watch reviews and wait to get another if at all.

Decent model

The model itself is a decent and faithful representation of the real thing though some of the Roding and smaller details are rather flimsily fixed. The body is rather tight on the chassis which makes fitting the decoder trickier than necessary. The instructions are rather basic and lack detail (especially about fitting a DCC decoder) which probably results in damage due to gripping the body in the wrong place. There is no guidance on the orientation of the DCC chip. the socket is not polarised.

The fabulous AB 0-4-0 saddle tank

What a fabulous model. Great accuracy and very well detailed and finished.
Runs extremely well and quietly with good slow speed control. Looking forward to the crew becoming available to add more authenticity.
I remember these in action in the 'good old days' so many memories have been rekindled.
A fantastic model. Thank you.

The Andrew B arrived in good time, however it had a problem. I contacted Accurascale & within a short time offered an easy-to-use repair. Great work. The engine performs very well beautifully painted & detailed. Great job on this engine!

Very pleased with my new acquisition, it runs beautifully and looks the beesknees on my garage layout. Really most impressed.

Lined Apple Green Andrew Barclay

A smart and compact little locomotive, with more weight and details than I've experienced in some larger models.

Unfortunately, my model did arrive non-functioning, but some careful work did rectify this and when I was finally able to test it I found it to be capable of slow, smooth running straight away.

Overall, it is a model I am pleased to have, and I look forward to personalising it further over time.
