Wonderful, museum-quality model. Has previously bought DC 102 in red arc, small logo blue and was sufficiently impressed to decide to get a DCC 102 in red chevron large logo blue, so as to have the ultimate model of a variant I had photographed (derelict) and scratchbuilt in the early 1990s. I was well pleased to discover that on my DC layout, having swapped my Clipper controllers for a Gaugemaster D, I got a good range of truly outstanding engine sounds, so I won't have to wait for club nights to run on a DCC track to hear the Hunslet in full cry! Outstanding detail packs, with some variation between locos. Great presentation including an insightful, affectionate and fulsomely-illustrated class history brochure. The blue is a little strong even for 'ex-works' and I reckon the white outlines seen in some pics (and on most IRM blue versions) are likely just faded edges showing the white-ish undercoat below red arcs and chevrons, so I'm glad this model has a plain chevron. Lots of detail that I could easily live without for the sake of robustness and cheapness, but I feel privileged to own one...well two, now!
