The packaging - The standard high quality sturdy box with protective sleeve and ice cube packaging. No issue with model during delivery and NO loose parts in the box.
Detailing - love how Accurascale do the options for adding detailing to their models, very straightforward and clear instructions.
The model - highly detailed and crisp print of the livery. There is NO issues with the paint and all the separately fitted parts fit perfectly. I am not a massive fan of the Class 66 as miss all the locos they replaced. But they were a necessity of the time.
The sound is clear and crisp and if buying for a DCC layout the sound option is a must.
The price - models of today are expensive but that’s the fault of us the modeller. Our demand for a scale representation of the real thing has never been higher. And to produce that costs. That being said Accurascale have thus far always given us models at fair prices and this one is no exception.
I ordered this model and paid over time at no extra cost. Using Accurascale’s pay later schemes. I can recommend this feature. Models don’t stay in ranges very long these days, and Accurascale seem to recognise that; so these schemes allow modellers an affordable way to buy.
