BR 16T Mineral - MCO - CEGB Yellow - Pack S

Simply wonderful detailed and smooth running wagons. The yellow is crisp and bright and a little weathering will tone them down. Exquisite models to have at my disposal to fill and transport around a layout.

Fabulous wagons from Accurascale once again.

Quite a rare colour schema, I have been after this for years. Yet another job well done and another gap in my collection filled by a superb model!

Accurascale has risen to the challenge of producing something different with these 16T mineral wagons as used by the CEGB at Kearsley Power Station. Accurascale has not taken the easy route of generic 'greyness' for industrial-user 16T mineral wagons, it has sought out the unusual in industrial use. The wagons feature loads of fine detail - all we need now is an electric Bo-Bo steeple cab! 😉 Excellent!

The humble 16t mineral has been a staple of model railways almost since the originals were brand new. This brings 21st century quality to a tired old standard. Detail is fine and crisp - the brake gear looks like it would work. The painting and lettering on my CEGB Kearsley wagons is clean and precise. One small down is the buffer housings which look like self coloured plastic and don't quite match the shade of the body. That should disappear with weathering. Each wagon in the pack has a different number but as I have two packs they are duplicated. These will look excellent behind the Accurascale Austerity and 'Warrior' will be appropriate to these.
