The programme of rolling stock production undertaken by Oliver Bulleid during his time as Chief Mechanical Engineer at Corás Iompair Éireann (CIÉ) in the 1950s contained a number of now-iconic vehicles, among them being the humble H Van. With a 10ft wheelbase and 12-ton capacity, these unassuming vans became CIÉ’s standard covered wagon and they found their way to every point of the Irish railway network during their time in service, present in long rakes or mixed trains in larger yards and in smaller groups or singly in sidings and goods sheds right across the island.

Lovely wagon well executed in terms of build quality and livery, great to have the vacuum fitted version, we truly are spoilt for choice these days.
It is a very fine detailed model and you have allowed for movement of wheels
to fit 21 mm Irish scale track.
One drawback is you have not made the same provision for the brake shoes
which should be modelled closer to the axle boxes.
It means that I have to uses my skill to move same.
Really well detailed and decorated.
Irish Railway Models/Accuracale continue to push the boundaries of realism with this model, including the ability to model prototypical 21mm gauge.

Lovely runners and a great addition to my layout.
Great wagon and detail but I think the roof should have been a very dark grey , roof colors varied on them there was so many of them. Some roofs would have been black too. Well done on this iconic wagon.

A very well packed item. The van has the usual high standard of detail especially in below. It's well weighted and runs really smoothly on the track. Another excellent product.
