Part of the ‘Transporting Britain’ range, these coaches were synonymous with the East Anglian commuter traffic heading in and out of Kings Cross, Moorgate and Liverpool Street, however their use extended beyond just the capital, being used across the Eastern, Western, Midland and Scottish regions.

BR Mk1 57' Non-Gangway Coach

I was very impressed with the BR Mk1 57' Non-Gangway Coaches. I had ordered six of them and was not disappointed when I unboxed them....until it became apparent there were some issues with the way they had been assembled. A plastic part had come adrift from one of the coaches. There was also an issue with the fitment of the wheel sets into the bogies, with approx. six not being seated correctly in the axel boxes. None of these problems were a big issue and were easily fixed. However, it does mean this ends up being a four star review. It would have been nice to see magnetic couplers included with the model, as has been the case with the Syphon G and Mk2b coaches. Other than those issues, I am very impressed with the BR Mk1 57' Non-Gangway Coaches. Thank you for another impressive model.

Lovely Coach

lovely coach my only complaint is the buffers, they are too long and hey catch on tight points and derail. I think i'll have to shorten them on the lead coach to avoid this.

Wonderful Model

Fantastic under carrier detailling, clean coach work finish and accuaret modelings. Make Rake of 5 runs well behindAccurascale Deltics and awaiting Class 31s. Lighting a bonus and with battery back-up does not flicker.
