Delightful Dyson

This is a superb model. The underlying model performs very well and the decoration applied to 92032 looks spot-on. Other reviewers have gone through all the positives in great detail, so I won't repeat them. Instead I will list the only things I'd change:
1. The pantograph doesn't sit perfectly in the 'down' position.
2. The circuit board shows through the bodyside grilles.
3. On the DDC sound version, the locomotive is a bit too quiet while stationary.
These points aside, Accurascale's class 92 is pretty close to perfection. Roll on the Electrostar (please!).

A class act 92

Another Accurscale loco lands and very happy with it, first sound one I purchased and sounds fantastic. Only negative bit is the the new coupler keeps falling out when under load. A dollop of prit stick solved them problem.

92032 - 'IMechE Railway Division'

Exquisite detail and livery application, this model runs smoothly from a crawl up to realistic top speed. It feels more robust than the Accurascale Deltic, with nothing detached on opening the box. Great lighting features and impressive working pantographs with fantastic sound that gives the loco amazing presence - the best OO electric loco on the market. I look forward to the class 89!

Best bang for your buck? They’re not wrong!

With all of the hype, all of the fan fair and much anticipation, the bar has been set high, very high and I don’t think we’ve been let down.

First impressions are everything, right? It starts with the box. The box looks and feels better than other manufacturers, it’s sturdy and looks the business. Opening up you see all of that lovely black sponge foam protection, peel away and, you’ve got the paperwork pack inside, nice booklet about the history. Certainly a nicer touch than other mainstream manufacturers.

Then my eyes feasted on 92032 in its plastic moulded packaging and sleeve, and feasted they did. There’s plenty to admire. The fine details, the vibrant colours, the crisp printing of the livery - which is spot on.

Nom, nom, nom!

The loco has yet to be run, but who cares what I have to say about it running? There’s plenty of other reviews saying how great it is. I am sure; actually, I’m not sure, I know it’ll be fine and if it isn’t the team at AS HQ on the help desk who I’ve spoken to already about an unrelated matter will do their upmost best to assist.

There is passion and dedication from the whole team, it can been seen in their email updates, their responses to individuals on RMWeb, how they assist on live chat, through to what sits in those big black boxes with Accurascale printed on the top left corner.

Rival manufacturers need to start worrying, this Class 92 is a step change at an affordable price. Accurascale have shown what can be done without ripping off the consumer.

This is worth more than 5*s!
