Interestingly, these wagons are not what I would typically add my layout - but then I’d guess this would be true for most. The pioneering era of steam travel is under-researched and few examples exist today of where it all started, so you have to give Accurascale credit for the effort they’ve put into these incredibly faithful wagons.
The level of detail is exquisite for the size and the finish immaculate. They look perfect even as a static display piece in the background, though run fine too.
But they are very expensive, especially considering the size (not much larger than a 10 pence piece) and the coupling system, whilst lovely to look at convenient, is so tiny that I have no faith in it lasting a long time.
Think of this one as a treat rather than a necessity. The wife won’t understand.
