Chaldron Coal Load - Long Version (Triple Pack)

Nicely done and will add greatly to the wagon look and running characteristics. Photo's on the website are not flattering, They look less moulded in reality.

Nice coal loads, will look nice with a real bit of coal dust sprinkled over to give a bit of sparkle :)

Normally I'd make my own but with these being Accurascale I'd know they'll be perfect, and they are!

Small coal loads for the longer Chaldron wagons. They are made from natural coal topping on resin bases. The triple packs of loads are charming little items, which are chamfered at an angle on four sides to easily fit into and be removed from the wagons.

Good load reasonable price and easier than doing ones self

Interestingly, these wagons are not what I would typically add my layout - but then I’d guess this would be true for most. The pioneering era of steam travel is under-researched and few examples exist today of where it all started, so you have to give Accurascale credit for the effort they’ve put into these incredibly faithful wagons.

The level of detail is exquisite for the size and the finish immaculate. They look perfect even as a static display piece in the background, though run fine too.

But they are very expensive, especially considering the size (not much larger than a 10 pence piece) and the coupling system, whilst lovely to look at convenient, is so tiny that I have no faith in it lasting a long time.

Think of this one as a treat rather than a necessity. The wife won’t understand.

The coal loads are a perfect fit and complete the Chaldron wagons without adding too much weight.
