The depth of tooling behind the Accurascale BR 20t brake van allows us to replicate the many changes made to the prototype and reproduce several variants accurately for the first time in 4mm scale RTR. Our tooling covers the majority of brake vans from initial construction through to the final builds, including numerous—and in some cases unique—later modifications. This means you can choose the perfect van to complete your train or enhance your siding.

Weighing just under 50 grams, with a die-cast floor and plastic superstructure, it features the detailed underbody finish you expect from us—so it runs smoothly and looks the part. It’s not only the tooling that breaks new ground. For the first time in a model brake van, we’ve fitted track-powered interior lighting, including a roof LED to simulate a guard’s lantern and a glowing red stove light. A built-in stay-alive ensures consistent, flicker-free illumination while running on your layout.
