A superb model, highly detailed and the sound is amazing. Takes me back to when I saw a green 50007 in real life at its renaming ceremony in February 1984
I opted for the dcc ready version. Will add sound at a later date. First impressions of the loco. Absolutely fantastic. I must of looked at it over 20 times and I'm always noticing something else. The attention to detail is insane. It runs ultra quiet and smooth. The interior can detail just blows the completion out the water. Illuminated drivers desk is very impressive. So the question I've been asked a few times is. Do you think it's worth £189.99. Yes, absolutely. Hence I brought a second Accurascale DCC ready Class 50. The Hanson and Hall Thunderer. Judging by the detail on these Class 50s. The long awaited Class 89s will be amazing too. I'd highly recommend an Accurascale Class 50.
Well done to Accurascale for producing the ultimate Class 50
Yet again another out standing locomotive. Looks the part and at low speed sounds like a class 50 should.
I would just like to say this loco has out stripped my expectations not only in the detail of this model but the sound just blow me away. After not long visiting the great central railway where the Royal Oak resides I can say with confidence this is the closest representation you will find to this superb loco. It only fell down a little on my rating due to detail fulling off when I received it. Regards from Graham @Wood Hill Park Model Railway
I've brought two so far to replace my old horn by ones, and have to say 10 out 10. They run and look so well I was blown away. I shall be buying more.
I have yet to install the units which are quite neat in their appearance and seem to function well when compressed using light finger pressure. They are listed as BR but it would be useful to know if they are generic, or based upon any particular BR era?
Product accuracy of the highest quality. The much anticipated re bodied HTV hopper out shopped in bauxite TOPS livery sold out in record time. To say modeller's had eagerly awaited this product would be an understatement.
Well done Accurascale for filling a milestone in freight wagon history
When will a further limited production batch be announced?
Another great loco from Accurascale. Detail is amazing and I love the Green livery.
Finally some BR Brown Bauxite 21T Hoppers superb detail and excellent running. Just wish there were some coal loads.

Cannot fault the ESU Decoders, they may seem pricey but they are worth every penny for the ease of operation with the class 66
Having waited a few years for my 50s (I also ordered 50007 'Sir Edward Elgar'), I can assuredly say that Defiance is easily one of my best diesels.
The detail is superb both exterior and inside the cabs! It also runs absolutely fine with no sort of issues (Aside from the model's geared speed but I don't mind that.) I also love all the separately fitted loco plates that I still have yet to attach on.
When I first handled the model, I had no sort of quality control (No bits falling off or glue/paint marks). The only thing I can complain ahout really, even though I can see why it's there, is the packaging as I've discovered the iceblock that's holding the loco in place is being warped and bent due to the foam block that's inside and next to the detailing parts being a tad too big.
The only trouble with these is the temptation to buy more and more for a bigger rake.
Great figures, give a true representation of NCB crew as I remember them. Easily installed into locomotive cab
