The details and workmanship are superb. The operating fan is the real deal, no DCC sound file needed, but actual fan motor! Even keeps the chips cool.

This is another superb model from Accurascale. No wonder they received all the modelling awards. The engine sounds are spot on as are all the other locos I have from Accurascale
Yet again Accurascale have produced a stunning new locomotive, following on from the Deltic’s and Class 37’s already produced.
The details are great and look just right, add to this the excellent sound file that makes the model sound really good also.
I have two of the new Class 31’s so far, along with the limited edition Locomotion 31/0 on order. Can we have the ‘Stratford Special’ white roof pair of 31/0’s next please 😉

My class 31 - 31128 arrived last week & what a delight it is. This is sure to be another winner from Accurascale as it follower a winning pattern hot on the heal's of the class all conquering Class 66. I cannot wait for my special all Yellow version due around Christmas.
I pre-ordered this as soon as I became aware they were being manufactured. I wanted to make up a special Network Rail train and have also ordered the Class 31 in Network Rail yellow to go with it. A nice detailed carriage with lighting. I hope further carriage will be manufactured so I will be able to extend the rake. Had a little trouble lighting the coach with the wand at first, but I put that down to technique. My only issue is that the price appears to have increased by £10 since I purchased this, so any subsequent carriages will be more expensive.

This is an absolutely stunning model and surely a contender for model of the year in its category. Of particular note is the underframe and bogie detail and the paint finish, including a fully painted interior.
It is always a pleasure to receive a package from Accurascale but there is also the thought will this model match up to the others in my collection.
I wasn't disappointed, it really does. The detail, sound and running are all excellent and it is a very prized addition to the fleet. Now looking forward to the Network Rail version arriving.

The Accurascale Class 31 captures the look of the class better than any of the competition and this has the potential to be a stunning model. Unfortunately a number of errors have crept into this model. Firstly, all the blue 31s released in the first batch have missing roof handles and holes in the bogies. The handles would be quite easy to add for an experienced modeller, but it would be a little more challenging to sort the holes in the bogies. Secondly and more significantly, 31409 also appears to have used the body designed for 31402 and vice versa, so that the extra roof panel that was a feature of 31409 is missing. The only way to correct this would be to renumber the loco, which isn’t as easy as it sounds, as the position of overhead warning flashes, multiple working symbols and depot codes would also need changing. I think, in this case, the right thing for Accurascale to do would be to have the loco bodies for 31402 and 31409 remade.
My third Accurascale diesel and another excellent model. Packed with detail and features Built & finished to industry-leading standards, in my opinion. A superb runner, powerful and quiet. All for a very reasonable price. Other manufacturers, take note!
This is another superb model from Accurascale, but with a couple of minor niggling errors (missing handles on the roof and holes in bogies), hence only 4 stars. Otherwise, this would be a stunning model and in my view far better captures the look and character of the class than any of the competition. The paint finish is excellent and allows the crispness of the detail to stand out. The DCC sound set-up is also superior both in terms of the recording, play value and the fact that the chases can accommodate a larger EM1 type speaker. If the minor issues mentioned above can be resolved before the remaining batches leave the factory, this would definitely be a 5 start plus model.
This is going to look really good on the layout as part of a military convoy. The detail is superb and you can tell by the weight it is well manufactured.
The Accurascale BR Class 31 is a highly detailed and well-executed model that captures the essence of this iconic locomotive. The inclusion of directional lighting, switchable red and white marker lights, and separately fitted detailing parts such as wire metal handrails, etched metal roof grille, grab handles, steps, and sprung buffers adds to its realism.
The model runs smoothly and the attention to detail is impressive, with an accurate livery and finely crafted components. The model is excellent value for money, making it an excellent addition to any collection.
Overall, the Accurascale BR Class 31 is a fantastic representation of the real locomotive, offering both visual appeal and reliable performance. Its so good, I have two in my collection.
At last someone has released an accurate version of the class 31! Being introduced to the class since childhood, I am familiar with the class and this just screams class 31! One of my favourite models of all time. I have since purchased 128 and have the mainline one on preorder. The detail is insane, including the legible "Hoffmann" on thr axleboxes. The sound, sounds like a 31. Just need some MK2C Coahes to go with her! Well done accurascale 👍💯
