GWR 50007

So glad I was able to pick one of these models up when the remaining stock was put up for sale, first class model and ordered one from batch 2.

A beautiful locomotive in a very attractive

A beautiful locomotive in a very attractive livery, runs perfectly. Only let down by the known issue of the orange jumper cable boxes at either end of the locomotive. One of mine had already come loose on transit, the other came away as soon as the ice box was opened!

Another stunning model from Accurascale!

Another stunning model from Accurascale! I initially got a model of 50021 and that in itself is excellent model, however when more stocks of 50007 came online i just had to get 1!! I ‘ wasnt to be disappointed. The loco is just fantastic. Accurascale have done themselves proud again!! Absolutely amazing!

EE Type 4 BR Class 50.

Besides the known unpainted cab end detailing which Accurascale are issuing replacements. This is one fine looking model of the Class 50 in GWR lined green livery. Exquisitely detailed so be careful in handling, I've had a set of steps from one corner loose in the box from shipping. Buy or die for one of these, as they are the best EE Type 4 locomotives I've seen by any manufacturer.

A superb model in every way! Not only is it visually spot on, but it's also a great runner as well. The model also comes with a great accompanying booklet, as well as etched plates and other detail parts you can fit. Money well spent!

Stunning Class 50

Another quality product from Accurascale which is setting an industry standard. The weight of the loco, the detail & accessibility to the DCC decoder is now the new norm. However, I purchased this loco DCC Ready as I run Hornby's HM7000 bluetooth DCC system & I've found the Class 50 not to be very compatible with this as some of their other loco's such as the Deltic & Class 66. The issues experienced are very limited lighting functionality (forward direction head lights only) and substantially slower in speed compared to running in DC. I am running quality DCC Concepts 18.2V power supply so I don't believe it's a power issue but due to the lighting limitations and slow speed I have elected to keep the loco as a DC runner only. No doubt on conventional DCC controllers & decoders such as ESU these problems are likley not an issue. So to be fair, as a DC loco it's 5 star, just not that suited to HM7000
