Manor Minor Issue

This is one of a number of Accurascale Manors I have collected and the first to present an issue (other than the low sound volumn). May I start by saying this is a superbly detailed model, runs beautifully and a delight to own. This particular loco arrived with a buffer and spring loose in the packaging. On inspection, it was apparent that the back of the buffer is crimped to hold the buffer and spring in place in the shank. On this occasion the crimp had broken off and allowed the buffer and spring to fall out of the shank. I contacted Accurascale who requested photographs and after a couple of emails, sent out a new complete buffer and shank. I tried to remove the old shank but this is securely glued to the buffer beam. I applied reasonable pressure, but concerned that the buffer beam could be damaged, I decided the best course of action at this point would be to return the loco. Whilst attempting to fit the shank, the other buffer fell out due to the same failure! Although I am positive that Accurascale will return my loco in perfect condition, it does concern me that if there is an issue with a buffer in future, the only way to fit a new shank will be to drill the old one out - risking further damage to the loco. What is needed are replacement buffers and springs supplied by Accurascale that can be inserted and crimped without the need to replace the shank!

Really chuffed

I'm really pleased to bits with this locomotive. Well built and the details are amazing and the fire box glow really captures the feel. This is my favourite loco in my collection. Thank you

Ringtone Manor

Another hit from Accurascale & a black Friday Deal as well. I have not brought many large Steam Engines recently but this elk was not in my collection. My foray into digital as well & looks like i will need to build a small line to try. Hopefully I will get chance to get the crew as well when available.

Incredible model

Bought this for £100 during the Black Friday sale, an absolute steal. Bought a class 66 from accurascale and have bought a few freight wagons too along with that so was really looking forward to buying the manor too. Everything from this brand is stunning and very affordable compared to other brands for what you get. Fitted the manor with hornby’s next 18 hm7000 decoder, and it works brilliantly! Bit awkward to fit the chip because it’s bigger than your average decoder but it does work incredibly well. And the flickering firebox does work with hm7000 decoder if anyone is wondering.

Faulty Fringford

Visually a very detailed and stunning model, mechanically the worst purchase I have ever made. From first run noisy with a marked grinding going forwards.
Rapid response from support team had me having to half dismantle the model at risk of damaging, to no avail. Finally after numerous emails and videos it has had to shipped back to Uk from New Zealand. Awaiting conclusion, and at present out of pocket for the model and return shipping. Extremely disappointed.

7814 – ‘Fringford Manor ' BR Manor Class

Very nice indeed - good detailing and a very good runner. However, I expected the loco to be slightly heavier so it could pull better on the steep slopes on my layout. Also, the detail part no 8 was not included?
