Exactly as described, superb detailing.

Exactly as expected and wanted, but had a little issue getting it out of the plastic packaging, or my indelicate fingers caused a breakage of on bogie chain mount, all safely back in box, waiting for a layout to run on

I join in applauding you for such a fine model. I wish you could produce a simple sheet with an explanation of some of the more arcane functions. Perhaps it's partly because I'm in America that some of the function descriptions don't mean a thing to me. Just a thought. Thanks for considering my idea.

Packaging for international shipping is outstanding.
Model arrived in perfect condition!

My Beautiful Racehorse

Magnificent model, captures the presence of the prototype, very pleased with my acquisition, it must have a bumpy ride to Oz though as quite a few small parts have come off in transit. No complaints, however as I don't know how it could have been better packed. All bits are easily glued back on and at least I have the details to do that, unlike some more highly priced efforts from other manufacturers! (no names). Keep up this standard and you won't be long in business...........You will all be retired millionaires!!!!

Accurascale Deltic

Rather than a specific review of D9007, I'm sharing my views on the Accurascale Deltics in general as I ordered 7 in total. Overall, I'm very pleased with the models- the attention to locomotive specific accuracy is first class, not just to rather obvious things (though the first time on a model of a Deltic) like the absence or inclusion of additional grills above the nameplates or correct bogies, but even down to nos. 19,20 & 21 having the remains of fixings for the roof mounted horns they carried when first delivered. The number of fine and separately fitted details is astonishing given that the price is very competitive compared to other manufacturers. This detail, however, can be a problem in that some can become easily dislodged in transit. All seven of my models had at least one part broken off and some had several. Nothing I haven't been able to fix myself with a good illuminated magnifier and a steady hand! Overall, I'd say that these models are amongst the best I have even bearing in mind the small amount of repairing necessary. Well done Accurascale and I look forward to my pre-ordered class 37s, 31s and Manors.

It’s a very good model and highly detailed, however as models become more detailed they also become more delicate. Two of the chains from the body to the bogies required attention, one was broken mid way along its length, the other one however was detached at the body end and I think as it is actually larger than the hole could never have been attached at the factory. Once the chains were sorted however they seem a tad too long as they get caught up inside the bogie when going through any radius of point work. There were a few added details loose in the packaging but after such a long journey even the robust packaging used can not always protect the vagaries of such a journey. Glad I bought one though as all issues were minor and easily resolved.
Keep up the good work.

Superb Model but let down a little by sound problems

I love my Pinza model. It’s captured the shape perfectly, the level of detail is superb and the packaging is the best I’ve seen in 00 gauge. The booklet and spare head code panels are a nice touch. The sound project is great (except as below) and really captures the ‘drone’ of the prototype.

I had two issues with mine:
One of the bogies chains was loose and needed gluing back on; and
More significantly, the speaker rattles occasionally creating a horrible tinny sound particularly when coasting to a stop. It only happens occasionally and I seem to have cured it by punching the speaker down in its housing, but I’m nervous about it re-occurring.

Overall I’m very happy, but more testing for the next loco would be in order.

Review of the Deltic from receipt

My first impression was what a super model. The packaging was first class.
After taking out the loco and putting on the programming track it was easy to program the loco for DCC running in.
It was at this point I noticed that 1 of the bogie chains was disconnected from the body.
I then ran the loco for about 30 minutes each way. I noticed a cyclic thumping on running.
I contacted Accurascale by email with a video showing this noise.
I very quickly had a reply asking to give the loco more running in.
I have now completed about 3hours of running in and still the noise has not changed.
I again contacted Accurascale again with a new video.
The response virtually by return gave permission to return my loco.
This has now been returned and I have received notification that the loco has been received.
The note above stated that resolution can take up to 28 days. So I wait to see.
After running the loco I found 2 guard irons had disconnected from the body and dropped on the track
