In the late 1970s some remaining Siphon Gs were transferred into Departmental traffic, particularly branded as Enparts, the Western Region’s fleet of vans used for transporting spare parts for locomotives and rolling stock from Swindon to the larger Motive Power Depots. They soldiered on in service until 1985, making them a favourite pre-nationalisation favourite of the corporate blue era. Our latest "Accurascale Exclusive" covers the Siphon in this condition, suitably modified and decorated for this traffic.

Not quite perfect

Model superb, support info and packaging excellent. Delivery slow and query on delay to dispatch disappointing. Should be a 10 but only 9/10. Dont assume that a brilliant product can excuse poor service.

What can you say - for the price these models are quite simply excellent. If you try to nit pick and “oh dear me there are only 22 rivet bolts on the model, but 23 on the real thing, or the lettering could be sharper, then these so called reviewers need to stand down. 6 stars all round.

Syphon G Paradise!

This particular version shows how much variation is actually in the range. The Siphons are not just the same model painted different colours, there are sharp differences in the body work present, to reflect the many years of rebuilding and modifications in the originals. Well done!
