Seen as very much the ‘missing link’ in the ‘Powering Britain’ range, the 16 ton mineral wagon is an essential addition to the Accurascale range to tell the story of coal traffic on the railways throughout the 20th century. The archetypal BR 16 ton all-steel non-hoppered mineral wagon proliferated across the United Kingdom’s railway network during the 1950s and 1960s and there was probably not a siding, freight yard or industrial railway system in the country that did not house at least an example or three of these vitally important, yet mundane railway vehicles.

Very fine detail

Lovely level of detail, very free-running, so no problems with long rakes. Good value for money.

excellent wagons

Have a good look at these. Super detailed, nice weight with a choice of couplings. A lot of thought has gone into the production, it's a shame some other manufactures don't go to such lengths with the detail. Bought two of these packs, just need to renumber one of them.

Early 16-tonners

Superb models, great to see Accurascale pushing the various prototypes from their mouldings, these eraly versions are so typical of the wagons I remember from my youth

15T Mineral

Well packaged, I got three packs. They run well even through NRMA points. Now, not eing a good british modeller ( are Aussie) The insides are plain and the grey very light - so they deserve a little weathering. 6 stars out of 5

Magnificent Minerals

These new 16t mineral wagons are excellent and really capture the character of the prototype in 4mm scale - TOP MARKS!

16 Ton Mineral Pack E

Excellent product up to Accurascale normal standard. Converted to P4 easily although I found it easiest to move the brakes rather than scrape off material from the shoesa for additional clearance. The instanter couplings are a useful addition but I wonder about the durability of the plastic links. However normal metal 3 links are also supplied which could be used instead.

16 ton minerals.

It’s just like being shrunk and watching them rattle by when I was a kid. Lovely memories and lovely models.
