Tynnu’r llinell gynhyrchu i ben ar ôl 18 mlynedd a channoedd lawer o locomotifau oedd 66779. Roedd y locomotif hwn wedi’i orffen yn arbennig mewn gwyrdd wedi’i leinio gan y Rheilffyrdd Prydeinig ac fe’i henwwyd yn “Evening Star”. Roedd y loco hefyd yn cario clychau coffa uwchben ffenestri'r caban a phlac yn dynodi ei arwyddocâd yn stori Dosbarth 66. Roedd ei ymddangosiad yn adlewyrchu ymddangosiad BR dosbarth 9F 92220, Evening Star a ddaeth â'r llen i lawr ar gyfer cynhyrchu stêm ar gyfer Rheilffyrdd Prydain yn enwog. Mewn seremoni ddadorchuddio yng Nghaerefrog ar 10 Mai 2016, addawodd Prif Swyddog Gweithredol GBRf, John Smith y locomotif i'r Amgueddfa Reilffordd Genedlaethol pan fydd yn cyrraedd diwedd ei oes gwasanaeth disgwyliedig. Yn dal i gario ei lifrai gwyrdd arbennig gyda leinin BR, gellir ei weld yn gweithio ar draws y wlad ar bob math o weithfeydd GBRf.

This is a massive improvement from the Hattons 66 and I had to get this exclusive as I have seen it at the Old Oak Common Open Day in 2017 which is my favourite 66 as it's in the Brunswick Green Livery
Wow! What a beautifully smooth running loco. I was never fortunate enough to get a Hattons version, but snapped this one up as soon as I could. It is just an all round great model! Well done!
What have we here, says you. Well it is part 2 of two locomotives from Accurascale scale named the first and last exclusives. The Class 66 is one of the biggest locomotive fleet ever built to run on UK tracks. This one GBRF 66779 in the BR Green named 'Evening Star' livery being the last in the number built. As per usual with the manufacturer it is of exquisite detail, printing and running performance. As a fan of the BR Green livery worn by the named steam Britania Class engine, I had to buy this beautifully presented locomotive. One can do no wrong in having a couple of this class engine running around a layout.
Great model, very nicely detailed and runs very smoothly. The box art is very nice too!
Yet another fantastic model from Accurascale. I was fortunate to get one of the "spare" models after the initial batch sold out.
Accurascale have done a great job of sorting out the problems with the original Hattons' version of this model and the rotating axle box issue seems to have been solved, subject to longer running. Separating the body from the chassis is a lot easier now, it took about 10 minutes to remove the body, replace the buffer beam, add crew and replace the body, and no sign of any damage to the ladders.
You open the box and Wow, what a beautiful model, perfect satin sheen. You lift the loco out and it feels like quality - heavyweight, detailed but not fragile. You put it on the track and it runs perfectly straight from the box. The assurance of a lifetime warrantly. £170 and worth every penny. This is what buying a model should feel like every time. Thank you Accurascale for making me feel that valued as a customer and for allowing me to enjoy such a beautiful model.
Really quite exquisite model. The manufacturing is to a high standard and the decoration is flawless, despite the complexity of the livery on Evening Star. Lovely rendition of colouring. Very fine bell fitted uniquely on this example. Arrived with all bits attached to the model. Runs generally smoothly although slight judder which I hope will disappear with running in, otherwise I've no doubt Accurascale support will resolve. Box is very attractive.
Absolute perfection. A superb model in every way. If only all model locomotives were like this!

Fabulous Evening from the Accurascale boys yet again!
Previous 'other' versions were good, this is much better and i look forward to the 66 being a mainstay of the Accurascale fleet for many a year to come.
